The Shelby Fire Department operates out of two stations and protects the Town of Shelby. There are approximately 5,420 residents in the Shelby Fire district. Shelby provides the community with Firefighting, EMS, Water Rescue. The department fleet consist of two Pumper/Tankers(31,32), one Tanker(50) one Rescue(65), and one Ems Vehicle(69). The Shelby Fire Company is 100% volunteer
